Established in 2012, German Cultural and Economic Promotion Association used to be Eurasian Cultural and Economic Trade Center that was established in 1997. Based on Eurasian Cultural and Economic Trade Center, current German Cultural and Economic Promotion Association has 10 major members and 120 potential members in Europe and China. It operates mainly in import and export of high-end projects, the introduction and exploration of new energy technology, trade, environmental protection, technical cooperation, development of health-preservation project by traditional Chinese medicine, establishment of Sino-German Amicable Cities, Exhibition organization, cultural and educational training, integration of project exploration and immigration, holding of large-scale Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and organization of various international economic forum etc.
German Cultural and Economic Promotion Association has held Chinese Cultural Festival and Asian Cultural Festival for many times in different cities in German. It leads cultural and sports delegations, officers, experts, entrepreneurs and Mayor teams of various European countries to China to visit, to negotiate business, to exchange culture, techniques, medical care and education and to set up Sino-German amicable cities and twin cities. For many years, it has held diversified folk art exhibitions and influential Sino-German cultural exchanges in German, activities for 40th and 45th anniversary of the Establishment of Sino-German Diplomatic Relations in China and France and activities for 50th anniversary of the Establishment of Sino-France Diplomatic Relations with France in Cannes. In addition, it has undertaken the investigation, project docking and cooperation of Chinese government at all levels and business missions in German enterprises. In recent years, German Cultural and Economic Promotion Association has been devoting itself to cultural and economic development in China and Europe and playing its role as a bridge in international based on the principle of “promoting economy by cultural industry”.
